You will need the following support for your NSFAS online application 2025:
- You must provide a copy of your student ID / Birth certificate
- A copy of the parent/s or guardian/spouse’s ID
- A Smart card: both sides of the card required

To qualify for NSFAS Funding for the 2025 academic year;
- You must be a South African citizen / permanent resident
- Your combined gross household income should not exceed R350 000 per annum
- Your combined gross household income (persons living with disabilities) should not exceed R600 000 per annum
- SASSA recipients automatically qualify for financial eligibility
- You must have email and cell phone number.
- Students who started studying before 2018 with a combined household income of not more than R122 000 per annum.
