How To Apply For A Laptop At NSFAS 2026/2027

Students who want to succeed in higher education need access to the right tools, and one of the most important is a laptop. With a laptop, students can research, write assignments, attend online classes, and stay connected to their studies. To support learners, the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has introduced the NSFAS Laptop Project. This program was created to make sure that eligible South African students have the technology they need to study effectively.

NSFAS is a government-funded scheme that helps students from poor and working-class families afford higher education. The support goes beyond just paying tuition fees; it also includes allowances for accommodation, meals, learning materials, and now, laptops. The laptop initiative is a way to remove barriers that might stop students from performing well in their courses. Through this project, students who qualify for NSFAS funding can apply for a laptop that will be delivered to their institution.

Having this device can make a big difference because it allows learners to access digital platforms, complete tasks, and prepare for exams without unnecessary stress. If you are planning to study in the 2026–2027 academic year and need a laptop, you can apply for one through NSFAS as part of your funding package. This guide will walk you through the steps, requirements, and process of applying so you can make the most of the support available and focus on achieving your academic goals.
